The Expressed purpose of the Hartford association for the Education of Young Children is to serve and act on behalf of the needs and rights of young children with primary focus on the provision of educational services and resources to adults who work with and for young children.
Value StatementHAEYC’s governing board will be guided by the following principles as board decisions are made:
- Support for the North Central region Accreditation Facilitation Project.
- Recognition for providing opportunities for members professional development, creating networks, and keeping current with their needs.
- Providing advocacy for AAEYC members with a voice, either on its own or developments affecting early childhood services.
- Supporting parents to encourage volunteerism in programs and advocacy for early childhood services through awareness building and training.
- Respect for diversity and inclusiveness of all families and professionals working with young children.
