Introducing SCHOOLCHAPTERS PhotoTag Plus: Online Software designed specifically for programs undergoing NAEYC accreditation

Chapter 97, a Connecticut-based web 2.0 company, has announced the release of the latest product available in the SCHOOLCHAPTERS product line. SCHOOLCHAPTERS PhotoTag Plus is the first web-based classroom portfolio management system designed for early education programs undergoing accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. (NAEYC). NAEYC Accreditation is a voluntary system in which early education programs can enroll to measure themselves against a national set of standards and criteria *on education, health and safety*. According to the Wall Street Journal (March 24, 2006), NAEYC Accreditation "is regarded as the gold standard by parents, educators, and facilities," and has been endorsed by many prominent early childhood experts including T. Berry Brazelton, M.D. (as cited in http://www.naeyc.org/academy). During the NAEYC accreditation process, programs must create portfolios which demonstrate through photo, text and other documentation, how the programs meet NAEYC's criteria. SCHOOLCHAPTERS provides programs with a dynamic online method to manage accreditation evidence, link to NAEYC criteria and seamlessly create electronic and printed classroom portfolios. Online reporting makes it simple for education professionals to gage their progress and work-flow. While NAEYC accepts portfolios in many different mediums, it has approved the use of the SCHOOLCHAPTERS product for the purpose of creating portfolios as cited at http://www.naeyc.org/academy/

"Organizing data has never been so straight-forward and having the capacity to convert the data into printed books is completely revolutionary", says Wendy McGrath, an early education consultant. SCHOOLCHAPTERS is the 2nd product in Chapter 97's SCHOOLCHAPTERS' line. At www.schoolchapters.com, education professionals can also create child portfolio books while cross-walking State Performance Standards and Head Start Child Outcome Indicators. "Our goal at Chapter 97 is to create web-to-print solutions that impact the way individuals and organizations conduct business. With legislators rallying for Universal Pre-school, I believe it will be critical to provide web-based software applications for early childhood professionals. " says, Chapter 97 President and Co-founder, Claudia Reuter.
